Maharashtra Board HSC SSC exam: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Education has announced the dates for the HSC and SSC exams. The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher education issued official notice confirmed that the written Higher Secondary Certificate HSC (Class XII) exams will begin from 28th February, 2017, and it will end on 25th March, 2017. While the Secondary School Certificate SSC (Class X) exams will begin from 7th March, 2017, and will get over on 29th March, 2017.

The Maharashtra Board of Secondary Education and Higher Secondary Education, Pune is an established under the rules of the Maharashtra Act No. 41 of 1965. The Maharashtra State Board of SSC and HSC conducts the Examinations in the state of Maharashtra through its nine Divisional Boards located at Pune, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Nasik, Kolhapur, Amravati, Latur, Nagpur and Ratnagiri. The Maharashtra Board SSC And HSC Examination conducts twice a year.
There are in entire state about 21000 schools for Secondary and 7000 for Higher Section schools/ Junior colleges in the state. The board also conducts ‘Scholarship‘examination for standard 5th and 8th. This is very difficult task of the board is to conduct the SSC and HSC examinations. the number of students appearing for the main examination is around 14 Laks for HSC and 17 Laks SSC. And for the supplementary examination around 6 Laks students are expected HSC and SSC together.
Types of Exams
The practical and oral examinations for HSC will be conducted between 9th February, 2017, and 25th February, 2017.
The SSC exam practical and oral will be conducted between 15th February, 2017, and 4th March, 2017.
Main Examination schedule
HSC: Tuesday, February 28, 2017 to Saturday, March 25, 2017
SSC: Tuesday, March 7, 2017 to Wednesday, March 29, 2017
The results will be declared in May.
