Ujala Gujarat LED Bulb – Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel today (Thursday) launched the Central government’s Ujala Scheme in the state and appealed power consumers to adopt for sustainable energy options like LED lightings. Gujarat government is planning to distribute over 12 crore LED bulbs to 1.21 crore electricity consumers across state.
While Vadodara launch programme will be presided over by the CM, similar functions will be held at seven other locations including Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Junagadh and Bhavnagar to distribute LED bulbs to consumers.
The power company said that, in early 4500 the bulbs in each division will be sent. The bulbs will be phased out after the amount of the distribution. It will be distributed through an agency. Electric Power Company of points and a place to lay the bulbs at the subdivision.
