IIM Calcutta placements 2017: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta has finished the final placement process for the PGDM batch of 2017 within three days . The finance sector was among the top recruiters with companies such as Avendus, Edelweiss, Goldman Sachs, and HSBC hiring students. Top recruiters in this sector were Accenture, AT Kearney, Bain, BCG, McKinsey.
A total of 474 offers were made to students, including those from international companies. The highest domestic package was Rs 70 lakh per annum, whereas the highest international package amounted to 90,000 Euros (Rs 63 lakh approx) per annum.
Consulting sector emerged as the second highest recruiter contributing to 22% of the total offers made.

General management firms also recruited in big numbers this year and 15% offers were made in this sector by top firms like ABG, CK Birla, TAS etc. Sales and marketing roles contributed to 12% of the total offers, predominantly made by firms like HUL, ITC, P&G, Reckitt Benckiser etc.
